Last week I was asked to shoot an Airbnb in Manchester for a Nottingham client who I have done many shoots for over the last years. He requested a day shoot with video and drone footage content so we went up there in collaboartion with Anwick Creative and together we captured some great content to promote this city centre airbnb on all social media platforms. The forecast was typical for Manchester - wet! But we were very lucky that there were also some dry sunny breaks in the day. I recently worked on a product shoot for Ashford Blake, a national hand-crafted furniture company making furniture products for both commercial and domestic interiors. They hired a lovely set location in Nottingham and turned up on the day with a couple van-loads of their furniture. Tables, desks and garden furniture were set up around the house and I set to work to capture some quality marketing shots for their website. I was commissioned by ImageNova to create the stills for thieir advertising campaign for the new Sony Xv500 speaker. I worked on various locations with the ImageNova production team, creating product shots and lifestyle shots out in the streets and also at a staged house party with actors who created a very realistic party atmosphere! Here below I will share some of my shots which I made for this campaign.

I recently worked with Zena Weeks, Private Chef to Premier League Footballers, to create the photos for her new cook book - Recipes for Performance Sports. 
It is always a pleasure to work with chefs and food producers to stage their dishes and get the best photographs of their creations. Food photography is about finding the best way to communicate flavours in a visual way; finding the right props and appropriate colours for the background and then a little bit of styling and most important lighting the food so that it looks most appealing. I love to work with natural light but this is a luxury and in most cases not an option or simply not predictable enough so I do use artificial lighting but I try to use it in a way that mimics natural light so that it is not at all obvious that the food was not shot next to a window. From Janaury 2023 I have been working with Kitchen by Liquid - a state of the art Food PR kitchen in Birmingham. On regular shoots I have been working along side thier in-house chef Olivier Briault and other food development professionals and food stylists to creat some great food photography content for international food brands such as Maple Syrup from Canada and North Carolina Sweet Potatoes. I've been heading over to the Liquid PR developement kitchen most months recently and worked on many full day shoots. As with all food shoots, I travel with a full van-load of equipment  - cameras, lighting, backgrounds and an array of culinary props. It has been great fun to work with the team there and along the way we have made some mouthwatering publicity shots for magazines and websites and along the way also met some amazing Masterchef winners who have been involved in the projects. And, I should not forget to mention - all the dishes developed and prepared by Olivier have been exquisite!

I was recently commissioned by Turner Wall Architecture to capture some of their Nottingham projects. The photography was required to highlight their designs and to capture the living spaces they create. The client also required some drone and video footage so I brought in the services of Anwick Creative to help with this and they produced some lovely video footage  - see above.
